Gawker CTO Launches Live Concert App in Time for CMJ

With CMJ’s annual extravaganza right around the corner, Gawker CTO Tom Plunkett and ex-AOL product developer Rush Doshi–the proprietors of live music blog Superglued–have launched an iPhone app version of their site. According to TechCrunch, the app pulls in show listings from Last.fm, Livenation, local show listings, and those added by members, in turn letting you gawk at concertgoers, snap pics and share your images with other members. While timed ideally for CMJ, the app, which also acts as a Twitter client, works anywhere. As a reminder, Sound Ctrl is throwing its own CMJ Mixer and holding a panel discussion.
