Spotify Competitor Goes Premium, Invades Your Desktop

TechCrunch gives us the scoop on Deezer, a Paris-based firm that’s giving music service Spotify a run for its money by launching a new premium service and desktop app. Deezer’s site lets you tune into streaming music and create playlists. It’s free of charge except for those who want high-quality sound up to 320kb/sound and no ads. That’ll run you€4.99/month while the premium offering is €9.99/month. Additionally, there’s an Adobe AIR desktop application that lets you access your Deezer account on any number of mobiles.
