
Our buddies at Hypebot bring us news of “Taking Digital Music To The Mainstream: The Music Product Features For The Living Room”, a new report from Forrester analyst Mark Mulligan. The scribe’s tome says that for digital music to break in the mainstream, the music industry must stop confusing non-techies with various barriers like expensive, sometimes difficult to understand hardware.
In his report, Mulligan says the industry must “deliver a compelling experience even if not connected, include extensive music at point of purchase and effectively “replace their entire CD collection and add more” with their devices.
