Superglued scores contest with arena rockers Kings of Leon

MTV AND KINGS OF LEON KICK OFF THE ROAD TO SLANE CONTEST WITH SUPERGLUED.  Search to find the two biggest Kings of Leon fans to document epic concert at Ireland’s Slane Castle.

MTV today announced a partnership with Kings of Leon and SuperGlued, the live music social media-based community, to scour the digital landscape to find the band’s two biggest fans that will be granted all access as they perform an epic set at Ireland’s Slane Castle on May 28th.

Kicking off today, The Road to Slane asks fans to submit and express their love of Kings of Leon through a variety of web-based actions from liking the band on Facebook and tweeting, to posting video testimonials as to why they should be chosen to win. Fans should log on to to officially join the contest and must include the official hash-tag #KOLcontest on all posts.  Winners will be selected based on an overall point system, as well as editorial judgment, with different points assigned to different types of web-based actions.

For example, following Kings of Leon on Twitter will garner 10 points, as will liking the band of Facebook. More in-depth actions like writing a blog review on Tumblr will snag 20 points. A full list of how to earn points can be found at the Official Rules on the Road to Slane’s official site, as well as a tracker powered by SuperGlued. After reviewing overall points, content contributions and video testimonials, MTV and Kings of Leon will select two grand prize winners.

Grand prize winners will join Kings of Leon in Ireland before they take the stage and may have the opportunity to be the eyes and ears of the fans to bring the front-row experience to Kings of Leon fans across the globe and be featured across MTV sites.
