MidemNet Lab Picks Top 15 Digital Music Startups

Hypebot has posted the top 15 digital music startups that will be showcased at the MIDEM con next month in Cannes. The chosen startups run the gamut from live apps (Awdio, Songkick) to digital distro (Pops Worldwide) to web radio (Radionomy) to music discovery (Thesixtyone).

The companies will present in a dedicated area at the showcase, which is part of the new MidemNet Lab. “The first edition of MidemNet Lab is extremely encouraging,” said MIDEM director Dominique Leguern. “Thanks to a selection process designed by MIDEM, involving a call for entries and selection by a jury of entrepreneurs, we have succeeded in unearthing some very innovative projects from all around the world. It is extremely exciting to put these 15 companies in contact with the wider music industry.”
