This just in…OK Go leaves EMI

OK Go, our favorite treadmilling rockers, began a message to their fans with the following words:
Big news.
OK Go has struck out on its own. The band has left the EMI family of corporations to form their own enterprise, a homemade upstart called Paracadute.
Surprisingly enough, Paracadute means “parachute” in Italian. One might argue that a parachute is a symbol of letting go of the past, so it seems to be an extremely fitting name for their new label. Upward and onward indeed.
