Early Bird Tickets for New Music Seminar NYC

Thanks to board member Ariel Hyatt, I was introduced to Dave Lory while at the Topspin meetup during SXSW. Dave is the Co-Executive Director and Producer for New Music Seminar. In addition, he is a personal hero of mine without me even realizing it until I met him. I say this because he helped to get the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND back together in ‘89…enough said!
Anyways, back to NMS. I always thought it was the awesome concert series run by Ropeadope Records (listen here). However, the real New Music Seminar was started in the early 80’s by being the premier music conference that was a place for industry professionals and musicians to openly discuss their strategies and problems. In addition, the NMS team were responsible for the development of SXSW and Canadian Music Week. However, they went dormant in the 90’s, but resurfaced in 2009. Check out the video EPK below because it does a good job of filling in the details.
You like what you see? Then get early bird tickets here for $150, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than most other conferences. It’s definitely worth considering.
