Google Music made waves in the music/tech community with their live announcement and graduation from beta yesterday.  There are many features that will make it a compelling option in the digital music space, but perhaps the most surprising was the announcement of the Google Music Artist Hub. The Artist Hub allows artists to sell their music and set their own prices in the Android Market. The name-your-own-price aspect is interesting, because although services like Bandcamp currently allow artists to name their own price, none of the major players do (yet). It will be interesting to see how current DIY distribution middlemen react or how this will affect their strategy.
