NYT shows some love for Board Member

At SoundCtrl, we get excited to hear good news about our people. That being said, New York Times online wrote an awesome article on how NoHo bar Tom & Jerry’s has become the after work hang out spot for Silicon Alley. Work hours may be over, but people are tweeting, checking in on Foursquare (note: try to take down the mayor), talking shop, or just catching up with friends over a few drinks and cheap eats at Tom & Jerry’s.
More importantly, the article featured a few “social networking pioneers” such as Allison Mooney and omgicu founder Hugh Dornbush. Some of you might know Allison. For those that don’t, she is the VP at MobileBehavior and a fellow board member of SoundCtrl. We’re proud that she was included within the elite of Silicon Alley (and deservedly so).
Feel free to read the full article entitled “Where everyone knows your Twitter Handle” for more info. The title refers to Tom & Jerry’s being like Cheers. However, I see it as becoming more like a 18th Century French salon or the Psychedelic Shop from 60’s San Francisco implying the bar as being a cultural hub of like minded people to network, discuss, and socialize. But don’t take my word for it, check out the bar for yourself…and if you see Allison or any other board members there, be sure to say hello.
