Who is gonna buy EMI?

Apple? Sony? Universal? Warner? Papa John’s Pizza??? Alright, not actually Papa John’s, but it’s honestly getting annoying/ridiculous to hear about the back and forth chatter between EMI and the various contenders. I don’t want to hear anything else until someone signs the dotted line.

Apple wants EMI mainly to have The Beatles on iTunes. Sony and Universal mainly want the publishing since they would make a killing on Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Coldplay, which are the very bands who might prevent such a deal from going through.

It’s getting down to the wire, so there will be a scramble by EMI to get it worked out, so stayed tuned for an announcement.
