Earlier this week, music blog aggregator the Hype Machine announced the beta launch of HMTV, a service extending its blog-tracking capabilities to include video.
To date, the Hype Machine has done a fantastic job of presenting the most blogged about MP3′s in a clean and organized display for easy music discovery and analysis. They now offer the same sort of collective database of popular music videos.
The Hype Machine partnered with VHX.tv, a company dedicated to independent film distribution, to present an impressive and evolving video collection.
In a statement from the Hype Machine blog, the team expressed their excitement. “As VHX.tv begins to distribute more video by musicians, we are thrilled to support them in developing this new revenue stream for creators.”
