BandPage, the popular musicians’ hub for managing their bands’ online presence and FlashFWD Award winner for Best in Artist Support, introduced BandPage Connect yesterday. By allowing musicians to instantly integrate their BandPage profile with a growing populace of some of the most important social and music platforms on the web, BandPage has created an easy outlet for an artists’ online brand management.
The free Connect feature offers partnerships with WordPress, Guitar Center, Pledge Music, Conduit Mobile, Earbits, StoryAmp, WeDemand, and the Social Radio. BandPage plans to continue to add to the list of platforms bands can connect to, and they encourage web developers to build the Connect feature into their sites.
While the previously released BandPage Everywhere allowed musicians to update content from one place and publish to their website and blog, Connect now makes it so any connected online or mobile platform can pull in content with automatic updates. Every time a band adds a tour date, changes a profile picture, or updates their bio, that change is automatically reflected on any BandPage Connected site.
“There’s a need for a better infrastructure for musicians across the web and we’re laying the pipes to do it,” says BandPage Founder and CEO J Sider. “With BandPage Connect, external sites win because they get up-to-date rich content from musicians, and musicians win because it takes a fragmented ecosystem of sites to manage and pulls it all together.”
BandPage is also launching the Connect Center, offering users a single place to go to browse connectable sites, and offering developers the opportunity to present their service to over 500,000 musicians.
