Genero.tv, an online platform launched in 2009 through which filmmakers can take part in numerous creative projects, is hosting M83’s search for filmmakers and artists to submit video proposals for their songs Intro and Moonchild.

Each winner will receive a sum of $4,000 and his or her video will be projected during M83’s live performance at the Hollywood Bowl on September 22, 2013. The chosen videos will become the official music video for each song.

The winners and a selection of the better entries will be screened as part of Zookastar festival in London on Nov 2.

In the past, Genero.tv has hosted video contests for the Flaming Lips, Owl City, Diamond Rings, Muse, John Mayer, Graffiti6, alt-j, and many many others.

This contest is not the first that M83 has had Genero.tv host. At this time last year, the band was looking for videos for their song Steve McQueen. You can watch all the submissions, finalists and winner videos here - this could help you get an idea of what M83 may be looking for with regards to Intro and Moonchild.

The winning video will be chosen by M83, Genero and a panel of judges including Andy Morahan, Carrie Sutton and Julia Frost.

Deadline for submission is September 11, 2013 at 11:59 PM GMT time, so get cracking!
