Tonight, Universal, Sony and Abu Dhabi Media Company are joining forces to launch music video site Vevo in North America. The New York Times says that the group has lured another big label in EMI to serve as a content provider, leaving only Warner Music as the lone holdout of the Big Four. Vevo videos will be hosted and streamed by YouTube and be backed by over a dozen advertising partners.
